Jeff Frandsen

Jeff Frandsen

CEO

Mr. Frandsen has over 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare with the last seven years as CEO of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. Before assuming the CEO role, he held the position of regional director of development for Iasis, Utah.  Prior to joining Iasis, Mr. Frandsen has served in the capacity of CEO for hospitals in Utah and California with Lifepoint, HCA and HealthTrust Hospitals. Mr. Frandsen’s background includes extensive experience in physician relations and medical staff development as well as healthcare market development.

Mark Rada

Mark Rada, M.D.

Medical Director

Mark is board certified in internal medicine and has been doing outpatient and hospital based medicine for 12 years.  He has been a full time hospitalist at HealthSouth for two years.  Mark graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in Spanish and a minor in chemistry.  He completed medical school at the University of Arizona and residency at the University of Utah.  Mark loves medicine and caring for patients.

Mark Rada, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Richard Ashby

Richard Ashby

Western Regional Director of Plant Operations/Safety Officer

Richard has been with HealthSouth for more than 23 years and has been the director of plant operations for 16 years. He has a strong background in maintenance and has specialized training in healthcare security and safety. Richard also trained in law enforcement with the Salt Lake County Constables office for 13 years. He provides leadership in life safety and emergency management for the hospital. Richard is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineers.

Owen Christenson

Owen Christenson

Human Resources Director

Owen manages human resources, workers’ compensation, and medical staff credentialing for the hospital. Owen graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master of Science with an emphasis in youth and family recreation. He has his Professional in Human Resources Certification and is a member the National and Utah Society for Human Resources. He enjoys fly fishing and playing with his family.

Brenda Eatherton

Brenda Eatherton

Director of Case Management

Brenda has been with HealthSouth for seven years under the capacity of case management. She has been a social worker for 23 years and has worked in a variety of settings. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in social work.

Scott Jackson

Scott Jackson

Controller

Scott is a licensed certified public accountant in Utah and Colorado and is currently serving as HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Utah’s controller.  Prior to joining HealthSouth, Scott was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked for six years.  During his time at PwC, Scott worked with public and private clients in various industries, including the healthcare industry. He obtained a master’s of accountancy degree from Brigham Young University’s nationally top-ranked accounting program.  While earning his degree, Scott was also employed by BYU as a treasury analyst.

Michael Koniuch

Michael Koniuch

Physician

Michael is a board-certified physiatrist. He practices general acute rehabilitation medicine and treats a variety of neurological and musculoskeletal diseases (including stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputating, spinal cord injury and many others). He has been a full-time physiatrist at HealthSouth Utah since August 2016 and is currently the rehabilitation director and medical staff president. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a major in cognitive and behavioral neurosciences. He completed medical school at Wayne State University, an internship at Henry Ford Hospital and his residency at Schwab Rehabilitation.

Chris Rock

Director of Quality and Risk Management

Chris Rock has over 15 years of experience in quality and risk management in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining HealthSouth, he held risk/quality/compliance positions for several community hospitals and organizations in Utah. Chris holds a BSN and MBA/HSA degree. He enjoys working on process improvement and ensuring that our patients and families receive a high quality of care and excellent patient experience during their stay at HealthSouth.   

Patricia Schnoor

Patricia Schnoor

Director of Marketing Operations

Patricia brings HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Utah more than 20 years of management, marketing and nursing experience. She has worked at HealthSouth for 17 years as a registered nurse, nurse liaison, marketer and manager.  Prior to HealthSouth, Pat worked at University of Utah Rehabilitation for six years as a nurse liaison and marketer. Her work experience includes hospital, skilled nursing and rehab settings. Patricia is currently a member or has served on the board/committees for the Utah Brain Injury Association, American Heart and Stroke Association, Utah Case Managers Association, Utah Association for Rehabilitation Nurses and Professionals for Seniors.

Connie South

Connie South, MPT

Director of Therapy Operations

Connie has been a practicing physical therapist for more than 13 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in physical education from Utah State University in 2001 and her master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Utah in 2004. Connie has worked in multiple areas of physical therapy including outpatient therapy, acute care, home health, acute rehabilitation and has nearly 10 years of management experience.  She loves to serve individuals through rehabilitation and enjoys assisting people back to their fullest potential. Currently Connie is serving as the director of therapy at HealthSouth Utah and is working to create hospital based rehabilitation programs and encourage her staff to branch out in areas of specialization.
